The Beaches - Backline’s World Mental Health Day Event
The Beaches performed at the Historical Scoot Inn in Austin, Texas on Thursday October 10, 2024 during the ACL Fest Night in celebration of Backline’s World Mental Health Day Event.
Originally from Toronto, Canada and have previously performed in Austin at ACL 2019. Their members include Jordan Miller (lead vocals, bass), Kylie Miller (guitar, back vocals), Leandra Earl (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals) and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums). Their music crosses many different genres including pop, punk, and indie rock. Music that you can scream-sing to, dance along to, or both.
The Beaches brought the energy the entire time and the concert felt like a party with friends you’ve known your whole life. They engaged with the crowd the whole time and talked with them between songs.
They took turns showing off their individual skill sets and what they can do together as a band. One of the ending songs was “Blame Brett”, a song that had gone viral on TikTok about blaming your ex followed by “Edge of the Earth”, another smash hit off their newest album. This was the second to last show of the Beaches tour, with them performing at ACL weekend 2 the following weekend. They stayed after the show to sign items outside their tour bus.
Huge shoutout to our friend and Austin-Based Videographer, & Drone Operator, Lynae Carroll (NaeDaze Productions) for creating the fantastic animation in this collaboration. Also we can’t forget to thank Live Nation for the opportunity to cover this event.
